How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've had a couple of careers before feeling called to be a therapist. After high school, I was an administrative assistant for a few years, went to college and received a BA in Elementary Education. I taught in Naperville School District 204 for several years as a classroom teacher. Subsequently, I opened my own tutoring business - helping students with reading issues including dyslexia, development delays, etc. I became involved in a Transitional Living Program where I mentored women coming from homelessness and helping on their journey to independence. I was also a Stephen Minister for a couple of years which then led me to receiving my Master's Degree in Counseling.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I have quite a bit of diverse work and life experience - particularly becoming a mental health therapist later in life. I'm not sure how differentiate myself from other private practices in this area or any other. What I know for sure that I do my best to help clients on their journey to emotional wellness by understanding, create change and growing,
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Only have one location and no plans to expand,
